Can I have a refund for a replacement garden waste bin that I don't need as I don't want to pay for the service?
No, we will not refund the cost of a replacement garden waste bin that was lost or stolen if you decide not to subscribe for the service. Any household that is able to receive a garden waste collection will have been issued with a free garden waste bin when the services were introduced. Garden waste bins remain in the ownership of Sandwell Council and will have been issued as part of the standard suite of bins to properties with gardens when the wheeled bin services were introduced. Any bin that is lost or stolen needs to be replaced by the householder so that a future occupier has a garden waste bin available for them to use.
