The Extraordinary Ordinary - An exhbition showcasing decorative arts made in what is now Sandwell
The area that is now Sandwell has long been associated with heavy industry during the Industrial Revolution, but through the soot and the grime many beautiful, colourful and decorative objects were being made. This exhibition showcaes objects from our museum collection and photographs from Sandwell Archives which tell the story of extraordinary beautiful things made in what is now Sandwell such as stained glass, studio pottery, enamels and paintings and the ordinary people who made them. You can also see pieces from artists working today in the local community.
