HADEN OLD HALL OPEN DAYS
Haden Old Hall was the original house built on Haden Hill; often called the Tudor Hall but it is neither Tudor or a Hall. Haden Old Hall is in fact the smart home of the middle sort Haden family built in the later 1600s as the family wealth and status grew locally. It has had a chequered history and has been restored many times. It now stands directly next door to the Victorian House after escaping from being demolished by George Alfred Haden Haden Best in the late 1800s to expand Haden Hill House.

Fighting From Home. June - November 2026. Exhibition by Luke Perry exploring the story behind the people of the Reserved Occupations and their legacy. Open when Haden Hill Hose Museum is open. Free entrance.

Self Care Saturday Yoga with Bryony Morris 1st August:, 3pm & 4pm
This Yoga and Sound relaxation session will be accessible for everyone, including complete beginners, with chairs available for those who prefer not to stand. You will explore different gentle movement and breathing techniques before moving into an extended relaxation where you can rest deeply. You will leave feeling relaxed and restored!

Curse of the Mummy’s Tomb (Family Escape Room): Thursday 23rd July, 11:15am & 1pm
Join Professor Black, grab a clue sheet and embark on a quest to discover the missing ancient artifacts throughout the museum to lift the curse. But be careful… time is not on your side and the Mummy has awakened!

Terror From the Tomb: Sunday 2nd August, 3pm
An immersive talk delving into the gripping journey into the myths, mysteries, and chilling legends surrounding Egypt’s most feared burial sites. From cursed tombs to vengeful pharaohs, you’ll explore the real history behind the stories that have fascinated (and terrified) explorers for centuries.

42nd Birmingham Jazz and Blues Festival Slide Boy Roy: Sunday 26th July, 2pm
Join us for another year of fabulous live music. This year, Slide Boy Roy will be performing. If you want to come and see a proper roots, blues and rock n roll band, drop in for an afternoon of some great music. Entry is free.
Animal Planet with Fantastic Journeys. Friday 7th August. 12pm lively session for children with Additional Needs, 1.30pm gentle session for children with PMLD and/or Complex Support Needs
Join Fantastic Journeys for an interactive music and movement adventure. Journey to the Animal Planet in our magical hot air balloon. Meet the animals and take part in musical games and activities. These sessions will engage the children in music, movement, dance, and storytelling. Expect instrument playing, singing, dancing, parachute games and more. The sessions are suitable for children with Additional Needs and their families. Why not come make it a day out. You can attend the sessions then visit the park and playground too. Children should attend with a parent or carer.
Tickets £5.50 for each participating child with Additional Needs. There are a limited number of free tickets available for siblings if they are attending as part of family support. Parents/carers do not need a ticket.
The session is taking place on the ground floor of the museum and entrance is via the accessible entrance at the rear of the museum. Please ring the bell for entrance.

Get hands-on and join in with some family‑friendly activities exploring play, creativity and traditions from around the world, as well as trails, quizzes and crafts all during our regular museum opening hours.

Haden Hill Family Bingo Morning & Pub Quiz Afternoon: Thursday 13th August 11.30am & 2pm. Join us as we celebrate two of Britain’s favourite pass times Bingo and a good ole Pub Quiz. Whether you come for the Bingo morning to see if you can win our prize or come with your quiz team to challenge you quiz brains, all are welcome, suitable for families
