Regular Activities

Grounds Open Days: Every Wednesday in February and March. 1:00-4:00pm
Explore the grounds and enjoy our snowdrops and other winter flowers starting to emerge. Warm up with a hot drink in our tearoom. Please note that the house will not be open. Free entry, no need to book.

Craft Club: Every Wednesday 10:00-12.30pm (excluding school half terms and holidays). Bring your knitting and crochet projects or anything else you may be working on! We will have jigsaws and games available and throughout the coming months in some of the sessions we will explore different natural arts and activities to help with feelings of calmness and creativity! Open to all ages, everyone welcome. £1.00. No need to book.

Little Acorns Breastfeeding Network infant feeding drop-in support session. Every Wednesday 12.30pm – 2pm (excluding half terms). Drop-in support group creating a free, safe space for parents to meet other parents, ask questions and access evidence-based information on all aspects of breastfeeding/chest feeding and infant feeding for babies of all ages. Ideal For All Coffee Mornings: Every Wednesday 11:00-1:00pm. Ideal For All support the independence of disabled people living in Sandwell. These groups are an opportunity to have some social time with others in a similar situation to yourself. We run a coffee morning every week at Oak House for anyone who would like to catch up with old friends and make new ones. A friendly atmosphere where you will be welcomed with tea/coffee, biscuits and a smile. Free Entry.

Spring Events and Activities

Green Man Celebration - Community Fun Day

Sunday 17 May 11am-4pm

Celebrate spring with us at our annual Green Man event with historical music from Diabolus. Join in with the Sedgley Morris dancers and border Morris Dancers, have a go at Tudor dancing with Gloriana and join in our parade with the Dhol Drummers to welcome spring with the green man himself! Lots of fun, games and activities for all ages and childrens entertainment and nature crafts. Enjoy snacks and refreshments in our tearoom. Why not bring a picnic and a blanket and enjoy the grounds. House open to explore, Free entry, drop in, no booking required. Parking is on side streets near the museum and at a pay and display car park on Lodge Road a 10 minute walk away. Sorry no accessible parking on site, drop off only. 

May Half Term

Join us on 26 Tuesday and Wednesday 27 11am-3pm for half term activities and fun (more details to follow) - why not bring a picnic to enjoy in the grounds.
