Regular Activities

Craft Club: Every Wednesday 10:00-12.30pm (excluding school half terms and holidays). Bring your knitting and crochet projects or anything else you may be working on! We will have jigsaws and games available and throughout the coming months in some of the sessions we will explore different natural arts and activities to help with feelings of calmness and creativity! Open to all ages, everyone welcome. £1.00. No need to book.

Little Acorns Breastfeeding Network infant feeding drop-in support session. Every Wednesday 12.30pm – 2pm (excluding half terms). Drop-in support group creating a free, safe space for parents to meet other parents, ask questions and access evidence-based information on all aspects of breastfeeding/chest feeding and infant feeding for babies of all ages. Ideal For All Coffee Mornings: Every Wednesday 11:00-1:00pm. Ideal For All support the independence of disabled people living in Sandwell. These groups are an opportunity to have some social time with others in a similar situation to yourself. We run a coffee morning every week at Oak House for anyone who would like to catch up with old friends and make new ones. A friendly atmosphere where you will be welcomed with tea/coffee, biscuits and a smile. Free Entry.

Autunmal Antics

We Forest Folk by Ampersand: Tuesday 27 and Wednesday 28 October, sessions 10.30-12 and 1-2.30. This Autumn, we invite families to discover the magic of nature. Join us for We Forest Folk—a series of creative nature-based sessions designed especially for children and their families to play, explore, move, and create together. These sessions are outdoors so dress for the weather. Suitable for children aged 1-11. Tickets are on a ‘pay what you can’ basis. Book via bookwhen.com/weforestfolk.

Halloween Fun Day: Tuesday 27 October, 11am-3pm. Join us for some Halloween fun with Will-e-Droppit, juggler and magician. Have a wander around the house for creepy crafts, trails and other spooky activities. Don’t forget to come dressed to scare!

Crazy Potions with Fizzpop Science: Wednesday 28 October 11am-3pm,
Halloween fun with Fizzpop Science exploring crazy chemical reactions, foaming eruptions and flammable explosions! Then get hands-on and create your own slime to take home.

Fungi Sunday – Sunday 1 November 11am-2pm - 

Join us for loads of mushroom fun with our Fungi Foray, crafts and trails and fabulous fungi performance! 

Fungi Foray - Join us at 11am for our Fungi Foray and explore our grounds with mushroom expert Lukas Large and see what exciting things you can find and learn more about them

Enjoy our Fungi trail and fungi crafts throughout the day. 

You can also visit our 17th century house and look around. 

Fungi Frida and the Myco Heroes’ Performance at 12.30pm. Booking needed for the performance. 

Here we are in Plasticland... there’s rubbish everywhere, and that’s no good! Join Fungi Frida as she travels along the Wood Wide Web to meet a host of mycological superheroes and find the perfect mushroom ally to help us clean up the plastic - she can’t do it without you!

Will it be cordyceps, who can control minds? Or isaria, who heals poorly people? Or coprinus, who makes ink? Or maybe pleurotus, he’s not a fussy eater...

‘Fungi Frida and the Myco Heroes’ is an hour-long, energetic, silly, interactive outdoor performance full of songs, games, clowning, and puppetry for all the family all about fungi and how they can help us save the environment!
