Paying your Council Tax
Pay by Direct Debit
Direct Debit is the safest and easiest way to pay your Council Tax. You can set one up now easily online, you can also use the online form to change the date of your existing Direct Debit or the account that you pay from.
You just tell your bank or building society that you want us to take monthly payments direct from your account.
If you don’t have a Council Tax account number yet then you will need to complete an Online Move Form before you try to set up a Direct Debit.
Please note that we expect all of your instalments to be paid up to date at the time you complete this form. If any payments are outstanding you may receive a revised bill or further recovery action may be taken.
You can choose to pay on the 5th, 15th or 28th of the month and you can choose to pay in either 10 or 12 monthly instalments.
If you have received a court summons or liability order and wish to make an arrangement to pay please fill in our special arrangement form to make an arrangement to pay the debt.
If you already pay your Council Tax by Direct Debit and you have not cancelled your instruction your payments will continue to be collected each year. There is no requirement for the direct debit instruction to be set up each year.
