Wednesbury is one of Sandwell's oldest and most vibrant markets. The market relocated to the top of Union Street/Market Place on Friday 28 April 2023. The traditional character of this popular market is reflected in the design of new market stalls which will allow traders to supply tables or work from a walk in trading display facility. The outdoor market trades on a Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. Tuesdays are well-known for its brisk trade in Bric a Brac, pre-used items and general goods.
What to do next
You can rent a market stall for just a day. All you need is your stock and evidence of third party public liability insurance and you're ready to start trading. Simply roll up at 7.45am adjacent to the cafe at the top of Union Street. A stall will be allocated to you at 8am by a friendly market officer subject to availability. We allocate stalls based on the number of times a trader has rented a stall previously. Many traders become successful and have longer term arrangements with us, with a regular pitch and the associated benefits this brings. Vans must be removed from the site by 9am and may not be brought back onto the site until 2.30pm.
Stall fees
Prices are dependent on the days you want to trade on. Tuesday is ideal for Bric a Brac and pre-used items, a stall costs £13.46 per day. Tuesday's trading hours are 9.30am to 2.30pm.
Friday and Saturday is a key trading day for maximising your profit and priced at just £6.98 per stall on a Friday and £5.73 per stall on a Saturday. Friday and Saturday's trading hours are from 9.30am until 2.30pm.
