May 2021 election count - media access
Due to Covid-19 infection control measures, we are strictly limited on the number of media representatives that can attend the count on Friday 7 May 2021 at Sandwell Valley Country Park. The deadline for applications has now passed and all media spaces filled. The results of the vote will be shared on social media and published on the council website as soon as they are declared.
If you have a request for filming, find out how to submit your request.
Photography, filming and recording
We often take photos, video and sometimes audio recordings at council buildings and events.
If you feature in any such photos, videos or recordings, you will be asked for your consent. If you are under 18, your parent or legal guardian will need to consent on your behalf.
We use these images, videos and recordings for:
- Council publicity, advertising and exhibition materials;
- Council and partner organisation websites, social media channels and digital communications; and
- Other news media including print, radio, television and online.
Images and audio are stored electronically in accordance with Data Protection laws, including and without exception the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and the Data Protection Act 2018, and may be used for up to five years from the date of signing a consent form.
If you have a query about a photograph, video or recording that the council has taken or made, or wish to withdraw your consent to be featured in these photographs or recordings, please call the press office using the contact details above or write to Communications Unit, Sandwell Council House, Freeth Street, Oldbury, West Midlands B69 3DE.
