Bins and waste services - weekly update
Update: 17 March 2023 4pm
Due to the snow and ice last week which resulted in the suspension of bin collections, there are higher volumes of waste which has caused delays to some collections.
If there are delays to bin collections in your road, please bear with us and leave your bin out. Crews will get to you as soon as possible.
There will be crews working over their usual shift times on Friday 17 March to help catch up with the delays and extra teams will be brought in to help clear missed bins on Saturday (18 March).

Advice: If only your bin has been missed (and not the whole street) please report this online.
To get more in your blue lid bin, flatten or squash your recycling items. Extra recycling can also be temporarily bagged and stored in places such as outbuildings/garages or the garden waste bin (recycling would have to be un-bagged before putting into blue lid bin). Use our recycling guide to check that you are recycling all that you can in your blue lid bin. Please make sure all recycling is inside the bin and that the bin lid is closed.

Burning rubbish
Please be considerate to others and do not burn rubbish in your gardens. Garden fires are dangerous and can get out of control. You can report an ongoing bonfire problem here.
Other advice and information:
- Leave your bins out at the edge of your property by 6.45am.
- Make sure all rubbish and recycling is inside bins and that the bin lids are closed. Recycling should be placed loosely in the blue lid bin and not in bags.
- Park considerately outside your homes so that our lorries can access your street and empty your bins.
