Services
Booking times are offered at 45 minute intervals. Families are allowed up to 30 minutes for the service.
A waiting room is situated close to the chapel entrance for those who arrive early to a service.
The chapel has comfortable seating for 150 people with a balcony area and additional standing space.
There is a picture window in the chapel providing views across the landscape of Sandwell Valley towards Hamstead.
Families can choose a variety of music and media options from the Obitus website.
There is an organ provided on site for families to arrange their own organist.
A viewing area is provided for those who wish to witness the beginning of the cremation process.
Car parking
Sandwell Valley Crematorium has a large car park which includes six easy access/disabled spaces and a dedicated coach parking bay.
When leaving your service, the covered walkway will lead you back to the pick-up point and car park.
Grounds
The grounds are a mixture of formal lawns and informal tree planting which leads to part of the original Haypits Woods. In addition, a number of flower beds and trees add interest and variety to the grounds, providing an ideal location for prayer and quiet reflection.
Within the grounds, a range of memorials are available for those wishing to commemorate their loved ones. Memorial advisors are based in the main office at the crematorium.
Wake facility
Sandwell Valley Crematorium also has a purpose built licenced reception/wake facility on site. This provides a place where families can gather and reflect after a service without the need to travel to another location.
