Sandwell Valley Crematorium has a purpose-built licenced wake facility on site. Wakes can be held here in memory of loved ones allowing friends and family to gather and reflect after the funeral service has taken place, without the need for guests to travel to another site.
This peaceful, air conditioned room may be booked for two hours following a funeral service and offers an array of menus catering for up to 80 guests.
All food is freshly prepared on site and there is also a licensed bar.
This facility is not restricted for cremations at Sandwell Valley Crematorium. Bookings may also be made for after funerals at other venues.

We held the reception for my Mom, yesterday afternoon in the reception suite.
Two years ago we also held one for my Dad there as well and had no hesitation at booking for Mom as well. In both cases we were really pleased with both the service and the food. Yesterday, we had many compliments on the quality of the buffet especially the cakes! Can you please pass on my thanks to Donna and her staff as everything was very professional, immaculate, well prepared and presented plus tasty. I would have no hesitation at recommending the service to others as we were very pleased.
