What is Alternative Weekly Collection (AWC)?
AWC means that non-recycling (grey) bin and recycling (blue lid) bin and recycling (blue) bag are collected on alternate weeks rather than weekly.
This means that week one we will collect non-recycling waste and week two we will collect recycling.
Please note that collection days and schedules will vary across the borough. Closer to the service change, every household will receive:
- A printed calendar detailing their new bin collection dates and week
- Access to an updated online bin day finder before the changes come into effect
