Paying your Council Tax
Paying by Direct Debit
Direct Debit is the safest and easiest way to pay your Council Tax. You can set one up now easily online.
You just tell your bank or building society that you want us to take monthly payments direct from your account.
Please do not try to set up a direct debit if you have been issued with a court summons or notification of a court order (known as a 'liability order').
You can choose to pay on the 5th, 15th or 28th of the month and you can choose to pay in either 10 or 12 monthly instalments.
If you already pay your Council Tax by Direct Debit and you have not cancelled your instruction your payments will continue to be collected each year. There is no requirement for the direct debit instruction to be set up each year.
