Applying for the King's Award for Voluntary Service (KAVS)

Every day, millions of people across the UK are making a difference by volunteering.

Each year, outstanding examples of this work are celebrated through the King’s Award for Voluntary Service (KAVS). Equivalent to an MBE, KAVS is the highest award given to local voluntary groups in the UK, and they are awarded for life.

The award is for exceptional groups of volunteers who are making a positive impact in their community and benefiting others through their work.

If your organisation is interested in applying for the King's Award, please send your expressions of interest as soon as possible.

We will be holding a face-to-face workshop at Sandwell Council House, Oldbury, on Wednesday 23 October 2024 from 6pm to 8pm to help you prepare and submit your application before the 1 December deadline. Please email comm_partnerships@sandwell.gov.uk to confirm your interest and for more details of this workshop.
