Sandwell Council is inviting residents to step back in time and groove to live, timeless classics at its first Motown & Soul Night Out on Saturday 28 June 2025 at Sandwell Valley Visitor Centre.
Enjoy live performances by Nu Soul Generation under the evening sun in the Courtyard of Sandwell Valley. Established in 2006, Nu Soul Generation features a six-piece band of professional soul musicians with years of experience. Visitors can look forward to powerful vocals from lead singer Judy D, smooth harmonies and gifted instrumentalists - including drums, bass, lead guitar and keyboard.
Doors will open at 6pm and guests are encouraged to embrace the era by dressing in their best Motown and soul-inspired outfits. Why not try a slick 60s look, sparkling 70s flair, vibrant 80s colours or anything that makes you feel fabulous. Enjoy delicious food made with love from the tearoom and take advantage of an onsite bar offering a variety of tasty beverages.
Councillor Suzanne Hartwell, Sandwell Council’s Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods and Community said:
“This is a night you won’t want to miss at a fantastic venue. Tickets are selling fast so I would encourage people to book soon.”
