The date shown for representation against each entry is the date by which a responsible authority or any other person may make representations in respect of the application.

Representations, which must be about the impact of the grant upon the licensing objectives, must be made in writing.

Applications may be inspected at the offices of licensing section which are situated at General Licensing Team, Sandwell Council House, Freeth Street, Oldbury, B69 3DE by prior appointment during office hours Monday to Friday. Licensing Act 2003 application to review a current premises licence

Goshal General stores, 7 Tower Road, Oldbury B69 1ND

An application for a review of a premises licence has been made by Trading Standards at Sandwell MBC, in their opinion the premises undermines the following Licensing objective:

1. The prevention of crime and disorder

Trading Standards conducted an inspection where nicotine inhaling devices and misdescribed alcohol that fail to comply with UK Legislation were found on the premises. Packs of prescription only medicine was found and not marked with labels for the UK market.

The holder of the Premises Licence, other persons and Responsible Authorities may make representations in respect of the review to the Licensing Authority between the 23 July 2025 and 19 August 2025.

 

The Royal Castle Bar and Restaurant, 140 - 144 Sams Lane, West Bromwich, B70 7ED

An application for a summary review has been made by a senior police officer of West Midlands Police, in their opinion the premises are associated with serious crime and serious disorder or both.

On 20 July 2025, West Midlands Police received a report of disorder at The Royal Castle Bar and Restaurant, 140 – 144 Sams Lane, West Bromwich, B70 7ED. A customer was stabbed inside the premises after disorder occurred. As a result, incident officers are investigating an offence of attempted murder.

The holder of the Premises Licence, other persons and Responsible Authorities may make representations in respect of the review to the Licensing Authority between the 23 July 2025 and 4 August 2025.
