An application for a review of a premises licence has been made by Trading Standards at Sandwell MBC, in their opinion the premises undermines the following Licensing objectives:

The Protection of Children from Harm
Trading Standards conducted an inspection where nicotine inhaling devices and misdescribed alcohol that fail to comply with UK Legislation were found on the premises.
Packs of prescription only medicine was found and not marked with labels for the UK market, bladed articles and cool lip pouches containing tobacco banned in UK.
The holder of the Premises Licence, other persons and Responsible Authorities may make representations in respect of the review to the Licensing Authority between the 19 September 2025 and 16 October 2025.

An application for a summary review has been made by a Senior Police Officer of West Midlands Police in their opinion the premises are associated with serious crime and serious disorder or both. On 13 September 2025, West Midlands Police received a call from West Midlands Met Hospital reporting a male had self-presented with a stab wound at The Railway Inn, Harwood Street, West Bromwich, B70 9JD.
It was ascertained that the male had been in the Railway Inn, Harwood Street, West Bromwich and as the Premises were closing the victim was stabbed outside following an altercation involving patrons from the venue.
The holder of the Premises Licence, other persons and Responsible Authorities may make representations in respect of the review to the Licensing Authority at the address below between the 18 September 2025 and 30 September 2025.
