Weed spraying in Sandwell is undertaken by our cleansing partner Serco.
It takes place three times per year (please note, if it is not possible for the contractor to complete 3 sprays in a year, the council are not charged).
Firstly weeds are treated with approved herbicides and then three weeks after they are sprayed the dead weeds are removed.
Weed spraying needs optimum conditions to work so we will not treat weeds during periods of heavy rain or during high winds.
