Short Breaks Co-ordinator (MATERNITY COVER - 12 months)

Location: West Bromwich and the wider West Midlands area
Salary: £22,669 per annum (35 hours per week)
Sandwell Young Carers is a registered charity providing services to children and young people, aged 5-18 years, living in Sandwell, whose lives are affected as a result of caring for a dependent family member. The post holder will manage a team of sessional workers, virtual, onsite and offsite activities and be responsible for risk assessments. You will need to hold a suitable qualification in Childcare Development NVQ Level 3 and/or Youth and Community or equivalent.
The above position requires the post holders to be flexible, sensitive, child-centred, trustworthy, and reliable, have experience of working with both children and young people and able to work to the organisation’s policies and procedures.

Young Carers Promotion Officer

Location: West Bromwich and the wider Sandwell borough
Salary: £120,439 per annum (35 hours per week)
Sandwell Young Carers is a registered charity providing services to children and young people, aged 5-18 years, living in Sandwell, whose lives are affected as a result of caring for a dependent family member.  The post holder will be required to undertake development work with schools, colleges, and other educational settings. This post will also include working with GP’s, Primary Care Teams and other health and social care settings, all to help them identify and offer support to young carers within Sandwell. The organisation will be closing the vacancy on receipt of suitable applications. Therefore, it is recommended that if you are interested, to complete and submit an application with immediate effect.

Factory Operative- morning shift

Location: Oldbury
Wage: £9.50 per hour
A Factory Operative is required to assist a busy glass warehouse, for the preparation of float, laminated and toughened glasses. 
Duties will include:
•    Loading and unloading of materials and glass
•    Packaging materials and products for dispatch
•    Assisting of waste and recycling activities
•    Maintaining the work area to remain clean, safe and organised
The ideal applicant:
•    Able to manually handle goods safely
•    Organised to meet deadlines
•    An active team player to support team outputs
•    Good communicator- both verbally and able to read
Hours of work will be Monday-Friday 6am-2.30pm.

Van Driver

Location: Oldbury 
Salary: £19,760.00- £22,000.00 per year D.O.E.
Key responsibilities: 
•    To deliver a variety of glass types to customers, in line with the agreed route and time schedule.
•    Collect a variety of glass types as required from a variety of pick-up points.
•    Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as fuel, oil, water, etc, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.
•    Report any mechanical problems with vehicles. 
•    Inspect and verify the content of loads against delivery documents, reporting any issues with quality or load discrepancies to the line manager.
•    Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle.
•    Obtain relevant signatures for goods when you deliver.
•    Resolve client complaints on site where possible, or identify, and pass the complaint on to the relevant person for resolution.
•    Present receipts and collect payments for goods delivered or loaded.
•    Complete logs and reports in accordance with Department Of Transport regulations and safety standards; recording mileage and fuel bought.

Senior Production Administrator

Location: Walsall
Salary: £18-£25k depending on experience
A commercial bakery requires a highly skilled, confident administrator to process office related duties.
Key responsibilities:
•    Booking transportation methods with suppliers and confirming customer arrangements
•    Processing of small-large customer orders with wholesalers and retailers
•    Managing large retail customers accounts to provide a tailored service
•    Updating internal computer systems and spreadsheets
•    Liaising between the production team to ensure customer orders are accurate
•    Complaint handling for successful resolutions
•    Processing timely sales data for reporting processes
•    Tracking orders from initial order placement through to dispatch and delivery
•    Resolving any order issues as such as damaged goods, replacement of goods, order changes
•    Providing an exceptional level of professional service to customers re: their accounts at all times
•    General administration duties- writing letters, photocopying, filing and scanning of documents
Essential skills and requirements for the role:
•    Excellent customer service skills to go above and beyond for customer where required
•    Admin experience in a professional environment
•    Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and use of databases
•    Knowledge of Sage is preferable, but not necessary.
•    Problem solving taking ownership of complaints
•    Experience in working in a highly pressurised environment
Hours of work: Monday-Friday 8.30am-5.30pm

Civil Enforcement Officers-Traffic Warden

Location: Sandwell
Salary: 42.5 hours £22,829 or 25.5 hours £13,697
Travelling across the borough at different locations to ensure that parking restrictions are applied.
Key responsibilities:
•    Providing a good level of customer service 
•    Issuing tickets to vehicles that do not comply to standards
•    Taking photos of breaches/offences for monitoring purposes
•    Must be able to remain calm in stressful situations
The ideal candidate:
•    Will have good communication skills

Food Production Operative

Location: Walsall
Wage: £9.50 per hour
A leading cake manufacturer of high quality cakes, requires reliable Production Operatives to work at its Walsall based site.
Key responsibilities:

  • Working within a fast-paced production environment to produce baked goods
  • Quality checking goods and reporting any defects
  • Working to production targets
  • Heavy lifting of ingredients, trays and boxes
  • Adhering to strict Food Hygiene and Health and Safety standards

The ideal candidate:

  • Will possess previous experience within a production/warehousing environment

  • Be flexible to work all shifts on a rota basis 

Hours of work:

Part-Time Home Care Assistant

Homecare Assistants required to help people in Sandwell to live independently in their own homes. Experience is not necessary, as training is provided.
Must have a UK driving licence and own car. As you will be travelling to peoples homes providing personal care. Which will involve washing, dressing and toileting the service users.
