Please do not contact the AMHP (Approved Mental Health Professional) Service for a Mental Health Act assessment if there’s an immediate risk of significant harm. Call 999 and ask for police or ambulance assistance.

The individual can also attend Sandwell Hospital Accident and Emergency Department, with their consent and if safe to do so, for assessment by the Psychiatric Liaison Service.
