The MySandwell mobile app has said goodbye
The MySandwell app has now been retired.
If you’ve used the MySandwell app in the past, please note that it’s no longer available to use or download. But don’t worry, you can still do everything you did in the app (and more) on the MySandwell website.
Get the same easy access on your phone
For the best experience, you can add the MySandwell website to your device’s home screen. This gives you the same one-tap access as the old app, plus the convenience of saved login details, Face ID or fingerprint sign-in (on supported devices).
Here’s how:
- Visit MySandwell in your preferred internet browser
- On Android: Tap the three-dot menu in your browser and choose “Add to Home Screen.”
- On iPhone or iPad: Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow) and select “Add to Home Screen.”
Why we’ve retired the app
We know many residents found the app helpful, but most people preferred using the website. By focusing on one platform, we can improve MySandwell’s performance, add new services and provide better value for money.
- There are already over 190 online services available through the MySandwell website.
- Supporting both the app and website required extra time and resources.
- Retiring the app has saved the council around £20,000 a year, which we’re reinvesting into improving online services.
- This change supports our commitment in the Sandwell Council Plan to provide efficient, high-quality digital services for residents.
You still have full access through the website
You won’t lose any features. Everything (and more) that was on the app is still available through the MySandwell website, which is fully optimised for mobile, tablet and desktop.
It automatically adjusts to your screen size, giving you the same smooth experience as before.
If you were an app user, we encourage you to add the MySandwell website to your home screen or bookmark it for quick access.
