Heroes of the canal!
Well done to our Joint Equipment Stores Team Manager Rachel Byng and Pathway Lead Tracey Harper who came to the rescue on Monday 22 April when they heard cries for help outside their work base in Tipton they immediately went to investigate.
As they approached the nearby canal, they discovered that an elderly lady had fallen from her barge into the water. They quickly sprung into action to support her husband to assist her to get back onto the boat. After confirming she wasn't injured, the couple were able to continue their journey beyond Sandwell.
