Not just a job: it's a vocation

We received the following compliment about one of our social workers, who ensured a package of support was put in place to enable a gentleman to remain as independent as possible:

"I called Adult Social Services for support, and a lovely woman called me almost immediately and introduced herself as Pally. She was so empathetic as I explained the situation to her, told me she understood and that I had done the right thing calling. She was brilliant, fantastic.

The way she interacted with my dad was just amazing, me and my husband couldn’t believe the way he responded to her, she reassured him that he deserved help and that it would be on his terms.

Watching Pally interact with Dad was just phenomenal, you could tell that this wasn’t just a job for her, it is a vocation. By the end of her visit it was as if her and my dad had known each other for years.

I really wanted to let you know that we appreciate EVERYTHING that Pally has done for dad, she is so good at her job and the way she communicated with dad was skilful, it was a pleasure to watch.

I know you all do incredibly difficult, important jobs which is why it was so important for me to email, to show my gratitude and acknowledge the difficult and very skilful work you all do. Thank you for everything you are all doing, me and my family appreciate you all."
