Report a missed bin collection
Some bin collections have been missed due to staff shortages over Christmas and extra waste, and also in part due to unofficial industrial action by some members of staff.
Our waste partner Serco and trade unions have now come to a resolution and collections will be getting back to normal from Monday 13 January 2020.
If your collection has been missed today, please report it here and we'll get to them as soon as possible. The online form can also tell you if your bin collection has been delayed and give further information.
If you have extra rubbish, you can take it to the tip at Shidas Lane - open every day 8am - 4pm except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.
Missed collections at other times
You must fill this form in within two working days of your collection being missed.
If your bin has a sticker on it
If we have left a sticker on your bin and not emptied it, it will be due to one of the following reasons:
• There are bags in the bin and we can’t see if there is recycling inside them
• There are items that can’t be recycled in the bin
• The waste or recycling is wedged inside the bin and won’t come out
• The bin is too full or too heavy to empty safely
• The bin is damaged and you need to request a repair or replacement

Please remember - we will not empty bins that are overflowing and we do not take black bags or other waste left at the side of the bin.
All rubbish or recycling must be in the correct bin with the bin lid closed.
