Free antenatal course for Sandwell residents

If you are expecting a child and live in Sandwell, we have an antenatal course available free of charge! Antenatal support is being delivered across Sandwell to help parents-to-be prepare for the birth of their new baby.

The course has everything you need to prepare for labour and the arrival of your baby.

The courses are currently being delivered online as a live session. Each parent will receive a parent handbook which includes information and advice for parents-to-be.

The course

There are three sessions:

Becoming a family- covering how your baby is growing and developing, gives you top tips to have a healthy pregnancy and helps you prepare for life you're your new baby.

The birth- delivered by a local midwife, covering key information about labour and birth and what to expect.

Caring for baby- delivered with our Health Visiting Service, this session discusses new born baby care and advice about common baby aliments.

What do I do if I'm interested?

The courses are currently being delivered online as a live session. There are sessions being run at different times more dates being added all the time so keep checking back to the website or call us if you want to book on to a course. You should also receive information about the sessions from your midwife.

Changes Antenatal Courses for Grandparents

Becoming a grandparent is so exciting! Medical advice and guidance about pregnancy and giving birth changes all time, so we are now offering a brand new FREE virtual session for all Sandwell grandparents-to-be (or other family member welcoming a baby into their family). The 2 hour session provides the latest advice and guidance for pregnancy and newborn baby care so that they can support the new parents as much as possible. Everyone attending a session receives a useful handbook delivered directly to home.

What else does Changes offer?
