If you are concerned about a rough sleeper, there is an easy way to help.
The council and its partner organisations provide a range of support and accommodation for rough sleepers in Sandwell.
Outside of office hours, call our out-of-hours emergency service on 0121 569 6883 or visit your local police station.
You can also contact StreetLink if you are concerned about a rough sleeper.
The council initiates its severe weather emergency provision whenever the outside temperature is predicted to hit zero degrees or below.
Access to this provision is co-ordinated by the council’s Housing Choice Service, which has commissioned the P3 charity and social enterprise to provide emergency shelter accommodation.
Call the Housing Choice Team on 0121 368 1166 – option 2 in office hours.
Outside of office hours, call the out-of-hours emergency service on 0121 569 6883.
I am a rough sleeper, what do I do?
If you are a rough sleeper and have access to a phone, you can call our Housing Choice Service on 0121 368 1166 – option 2. You can also email firstname.lastname@example.org
If you are calling outside of office hours, call our out-of-hours emergency service on 0121 569 6883. They will ask you for details about your current situation so that they can help you.
Alternatively, if you do not have access to a phone, you can speak to a member of staff at one of our six Sandwell Local centres across Sandwell.
