Sandwell Armed Forces Day 2026

Sandwell Council is inviting residents and visitors from across the region to join its annual Armed Forces Day event on Saturday 27 June 2026, from 10.45am to 4pm in Civic Square, Oldbury, B69 3AD

Join us for a day of celebration as the community comes together to honour the service and dedication of the Armed Forces. This free, family-friendly event will begin at 10.45am with a small parade, followed by a short service at the War Memorial at 11am.

Following the service, enjoy an afternoon of activities, entertainment and opportunities for community engagement. The programme will include live stage performances, interactive sessions with the Sandwell Youth Bus, and the chance to meet local cadet groups.

Visitors can take on the challenge of a climbing wall, browse a variety of information stalls, and see a military vehicle on display. With plenty more to explore throughout the day, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

Soak up the vibrant atmosphere with fantastic 1940s-style singing, while discovering and supporting local businesses at the market stalls.

The Mayor of Sandwell, Councillor Margaret Sutton, said:

“I warmly invite everyone across Sandwell to attend this free event, where we will honour the service and sacrifice of those who have served in our Armed Forces. It is a proud moment for our borough to come together as a community, support one another, and recognise the contribution of past and present service personnel. For our tomorrow, they gave their today.”
