Your Council Tax helps fund a huge range of services.

From supporting children and young people, to keeping our roads safe, tackling anti-social behaviour and caring for older, disabled and vulnerable residents.

Did you know almost two thirds of our budget is spent on Adult Social Care and Children’s Services and Education?

Watch our video to see how we’re protecting key services and investing in improvements, while keeping the amount the average Sandwell household pays towards Council Tax the lowest in the West Midlands.

Where we’re investing in our neighbourhoods:

  • New CCTV cameras to help tackle fly-tipping and anti-social behaviour
  • 34 pop-up recycling centres to help us cut waste
  • More litter bins and doubling the funding for our anti-social behaviour team
  • More investment in parks and green spaces, plus £1million for play areas
  • A new Causeway Green Primary School and a new Haden Hill Leisure Centre
  • £1.5million extra for roads and pavements, plus £1million+ for road safety improvements.
