Sandwell Council is inviting residents to drop-in events on 1 and 2 December to find out more about the planned refurbishment and extension of the Friar Park Millennium Centre in Wednesbury.
The project, which is being funded via the Wednesbury Levelling Up Partnership, will involve refurbishing the existing main building alongside building a new extension to the rear.
The improvements will help respond to concerns raised by residents about whether the current centre is big enough to serve the growing population in the Friar Park ward.
Information about the project will be available to view online from 1 December along with answers to frequently asked questions that provide further context and clarity.
Although this is not a formal consultation, members of the project team will be on hand to answer any questions at two face-to-face drop-in events, where residents can view the latest information.
The drop-in events will be held at the Millennium Centre, Friar Park Road, WS10 0JS, from 11am to 1pm on Sunday 1 December and from 4pm to 6pm on Monday 2 December.
A planning application for the extension only will be submitted, shortly after the information sharing event.
