The council's Employment and Skills team Think Sandwell can provide a complete package of tailored support to guide you through the entire recruitment process at no cost to your company.

Offering a range of recruitment services to employers, the team understands and has knowledge of skills that are required across employment sectors within the Black Country. This allows the team to support and ensure that Sandwell and Black Country residents receive the right advice, assistance and suitable training to guide them towards jobs and careers available within the borough.

Taking on an apprentice

'Think Sandwell’ offers expert advice and support all the way through the apprenticeship process, as well as funding for certain placements. We’ll even take care of the paperwork for you. Employing an apprentice is very cost effective and various grants are available to apply for. We will work with you and your employee throughout the apprenticeship to make sure that everything goes smoothly.

Employing someone with a disability or health condition

The Specialist Employment Team offer bespoke support for employers when employing candidates who may need additional support.
