Work with the trading standards team
We also offer what is called a "primary authority" services to businesses. Primary authority gives businesses the opportunity to form a legally recognised partnership with the council. We then then provide robust and reliable advice for other councils to consider when carrying out inspections or dealing with non-compliance.
Working with business and those we regulate
In your dealings with us you can expect, and will receive, an efficient and professional service.
We want to work with you to help your business to be a success, and it is important to us that you feel able to come to us for advice when you need it. We will not take enforcement action just because you tell us that you have a problem.
We have a duty to publish an enforcement policy, which sets how we will go about promoting compliance.
Sandwell Trading Standards has joined forces with our Black Country neighbours to implement the Better Business For All initiative. Find out more about the BBFA initiative.
