The amount of Council Tax payable is based on the assumption that there are two, or more, adults living in each property. An exemption may apply where the property remains empty for the reason stated below:
Where a person has left his/her home unoccupied, on a semi-permanent basis, in order to receive care, in the circumstances described in the attached form, the property will be exempt from payment of council tax for the duration of their absence.
