Sandwell's role in the BID
Sandwell Council act as collection agents for the BID Company. We issue bills, reminders, summonses and where necessary obtain Liability Orders at Magistrates Court. Where the debt remains unpaid we will refer cases to Enforcement Agents (bailiffs) for collection. This in turn incurs costs payable by the BID payer/ratepayer.
Sandwell Council collects the payments and passes them on to the BID companies.
Sandwell Council are not permitted to deal with any queries or concerns that BID payer/ratepayers may raise regarding the initial ballot, the BID charge, the BID multiplier, the service the BID Company provided or any issues you may have with BID Company administration. Any such queries must be directed the appropriate BID company
