After a successful soft launch of our new Safeguarding and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) portal, we Go‑Live on 6 July 2026 for all professionals to submit Safeguarding and DoLS concerns via a new online portal.

These guides are intended to support first‑time use and have been tested with our pilot organisations to ensure they give robust support to help you use the portal effectively.
The portal changes how referrals are submitted — not how safeguarding and DoLS decisions are made.
You can now make enquiries through the Portal, and we ask all organisations to use this method rather than calling Adult Social Care.
