The main reception at Sandwell Council House, Oldbury, will be closed from 1pm on Tuesday 21 May due to Annual Council. The reception will re-open as normal at 9am on Wednesday 22 May. Access council services online →


Allotment gardening is one of the healthiest pastimes anyone can become involved in.

You can grow good food, it's good exercise and you get to meet new people.

We have some allotment sites with toilet facilities.

Some allotments have raised beds for less able gardeners and some have improved roads and paths that allow for wheelchair access.

Some sites have been set up as Community Agriculture Projects.

There is no barrier to allotment gardening in Sandwell - you don't need any particular knowledge or skill. Tips on getting started with an allotment are available.
