Public register - industrial pollution

The Environmental Protection Team maintains a public register that contains details of all the prescribed processes operating within the administrative area of Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council.

This Public Register carries details of environmental permits issued, variations to permits, together with notices served including enforcement and suspension notices, appeals and any convictions. Also included are applications for new permits, transfer or surrender of existing permits, applications for substantial changes and monitoring data submitted as a requirement of permit conditions. Where information is omitted on the basis of commercial confidentiality or national security, a note to this effect will be put on the register. Where the information omitted relates to monitoring data, a note will be appended confirming or otherwise compliance with emission limits.

The Public Register is maintained at the address below where it can be viewed during normal opening hours:         

Monday-Thursday 9am-5.30pm, Friday 9am-5pm
