Organisation: Parent Governor at St Matthews Church of England Primary School

Sabrina has a background in community engagement, gaining over 20 years’ experience working with children, young people, families and seniors in both the public and voluntary sector.

With a heart for transforming people and places, Sabrina is passionate about empowering and enabling communities to have their voices heard and get involved and has led numerous community improvement and regeneration projects.

Sabrina serves as a parent governor at St Matthews C of E Primary School where she is dedicated to being an active parent voice.

She is also a freelance artist who delivers art for wellbeing workshops to local businesses and community organisations in Smethwick and across Birmingham and the wider West Midlands. Through her work Sabrina uses the arts to bring people together, providing a service that tackles isolation, builds skills and confidence and benefits overall wellbeing.

Speaking about her new appointment to the Board, Sabrina said: “It’s with great pleasure that I get to represent the voices of my community, especially those with young children as myself. I believe that with a shared vision, and a little creativity, we can all work together to create a thriving and beautiful community that we can all be proud of – especially for our children.”
