Faith records
We hold records of Church of England (Anglican) parishes and many non-conformist churches, including methodist and baptist chapels.
Faith records include:
- registers of baptisms, marriages and burials
- early poor relief and churchwardens' accounts
- minutes of church meetings
- records relating to church buildings and property
- parish magazines
- photographs.
Most registers of baptisms, marriages, and burials are on microfilm or microfiche. Please contact us in advance to book a microfilm reader or microfiche reader.
The archive catalogues of our churches and chapels are not currently online, so please contact us for further information.
