Find out what’s happening in West Bromwich as part of the Safer 6 programme.
This page brings together upcoming events, activities and drop-in sessions led by Sandwell Council and local partners, all focused on keeping our communities safe, healthy and connected. From wellbeing support and health advice to crime prevention and community engagement, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved, access support and meet the teams working in your area.
As part of this work, the council’s Grounds Maintenance Team will be clearing and cleaning the steps from Pembroke Way to Hateley Heath School to help improve safety and accessibility. Trading Standards, Environmental Health and Waste teams will also be visiting local businesses, alongside targeted engagement sessions with residents in partnership with the Police.
Alongside these activities, our grounds maintenance teams will be carrying out clean-up work at Cakemore Playing Fields, Lion Farm Playing Fields, and in the alleyways of Martley Road and Brunel Road. Our Trading Standards team will also be visiting local businesses.
