Damp and mould issues resulting from condensation can be linked to poor insulation, poor targeted ventilation and/or poor heating as well as decisions you make in your home, such as cooking, drying clothes and when to ventilate or heat your home.

It is important you manage moisture in your property daily, please refer to the Condensation booklet and advice in the video below.

Regulator of Social Housing  - damp and mould

In November 2022 the Regulator of Social Housing wrote to social housing providers requesting assurance on addressing risks relating to damp and mould in tenants’ homes.

As not all of our homes met the relevant standard, we were required to self-refer ourselves to the Regulator of Social Housing.
