The mutual exchange scheme allows secure tenants to swap their home for another secure tenant's home. It can often be quicker to arrange an exchange than wait for a transfer
You can usually swap home with another sandwell council tenant, a tenant from another council or a housing association tenant.
If you are considering mutually exchanging and would like to look for other exchangers please register on HomeSwapper, Sandwell’s mutual exchange website for social housing tenants.
If you find someone to swap with both you and the other person must each fill in a mutual exchange form
You cannot swap without permission of the landlord.
We will let you know within 42 days if the exchange has been agreed or refused.
