Mark Cadwallader: Senior School Improvement Advisor
Mark is a qualified teacher and gained the NPQH in 2005. In 2008 Mark qualified as a SERCO inspector and has wide experience in this field of work. He has been a successful member of school leadership teams for 15 years in both the top 10% most deprived areas and the 10% least deprived.
He was a head of a large primary school in a deprived area that increased all OFSTED grades to good, but with outstanding leadership. He has wide experience working with schools and academies across six local authorities, including extensive expertise of head teacher performance management.
As a DFE recognised external expert in school improvement and as joint head of the current school improvement team, Mark has successfully supported schools to improve in a range of areas.
Mark has been a governor of a primary school and recently chaired governor committees at a pupil referral unit. Mark has expertise in safeguarding having been a DSL for over 14 years and has undertaken safeguarding reviews across many schools including primaries, secondaries, referral units and independent schools.
Mark has experience of supportively reviewing independent schools to help them reach required standards.
