Emily Jayne Morgan: Advisory Teacher for RHSE and PSHE
Emily has extensive experience of developing, leading and improving curriculum and whole-school development around all elements of RSHE, PSHE and Personal Development.
She works closely with both primary and secondary provision to support sustained improvement, in addition to Citizenship education, mental health and wellbeing strategies, CEIAG, British Values and SMSC.
Emily works closely with numerous external bodies including West Midlands Police, Violence Reduction Partnership, University of Birmingham, key national and regional RSHE and PSHE organisations, the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID - part of the Department of Health and Social Care) and been a part of two expert groups within the Department for Education.
Always keen to learn and reflect, Emily recently completed a Masters at the University of Birmingham with a focus on RSHE leadership, oracy, Mental Health and Wellbeing (curriculum and whole - school), Personal Development policy and addressing Sexual Harassment through schools and linked services.
She has received national recognition for her work, including being shortlisted for the “Rising Star” (LGC Awards 2024), “Workforce Optimisation” (Finalist), “Securing Better Outcomes” (commended) (MJ Awards 2024) and “Public Sector Organisation of the Year” (SOMO Awards 2024).
