Our repairs team are getting a lot of calls from tenants with boiler problems.
Many of the problems are being caused by the boiler’s condensate pipe freezing.
If your boiler has started gurgling and then locks down, this might be the problem and you can safely fix this yourself.
Try pouring hot (BUT NOT BOILING) water over the boiler’s external waste pipe (if the boiler waste pipe goes outside). If you don’t have a boiler waste pipe outside, pour hot water down the bath plug hole.
If your boiler has this problem, on an Ideal Logic it will show the code L2 and on a Glow Worm it will show F1.
