We’re excited to welcome five new members to the Smethwick Partnership Board, bringing fresh perspectives and added strength to the work already being done across our community.
Following a strong response to our recent call for applications, we’ve appointed five new members to the Smethwick Partnership Board. Representing key sectors across faith, education, enterprise and partnership working, they will add valuable insight and further strengthen the work already underway.
Thank you to everyone who applied. We truly appreciate the interest, thought and commitment shown by all applicants in wanting to support the work of the Board and the wider Smethwick community.
Our newest board members are:
- Charn Singh Padda, from Guru Nanak Gurdwara, joins us representing the faith sector. With his long-standing involvement in community leadership and interfaith collaboration, Charn brings a thoughtful and grounded perspective to our shared work.
- Robert Powell, Managing Director at Keltruk Limited, represents enterprise and innovation. Rob brings a wealth of experience in business and sustainability and will help us build stronger connections with local industry and create new opportunities for growth.
- Sabrina Nolan Jaques, Parent Governor at St. Matthew’s Primary School, and Raj Singh, Governor at Holly Lodge High School, both join us representing the education sector. With their combined passion for youth development and education, Sabrina and Raj will help ensure that the needs and ambitions of children and young people remain central to our plans.
- Jan Jennings, from the Black Country Chamber of Commerce, joins the Board as a representative from one of our partner organisations. Jan brings with her strong networks and strategic insight that will help us strengthen our collaborations across the region.
We’re pleased to welcome these new members to the Board. Each brings valuable experience and insight and their input will help strengthen our focus on key priorities like community safety, health, education, local enterprise and partnership working.
As a Board, we’re committed to working with and for the people of Smethwick. These new additions will help ensure we stay connected to what matters most to our communities, while also bringing fresh ideas to the table.
