Tehmina Rahman MBBS MRCP MRCGP

Board Member Tehmina Rahman

I have been a GP serving the local area since 2010 and, over that time, have developed a strong understanding of the health and social challenges affecting people and families in Friar Park.

As a qualified medical doctor (MBBS, MRCP, MRCGP), I have experience in both hospital medicine and general practice. Alongside caring for patients, I have worked to improve health outcomes, reduce inequalities and support the wellbeing of individuals, families and communities across the Black Country.

I joined the Friar Park Pride in Place Board because I want to use that experience to help ensure the programme delivers meaningful and lasting improvements for the community. I am particularly passionate about improving health and wellbeing, reducing inequalities and recognising the wider factors that influence people’s health, including their environment, opportunities and sense of community.

Alongside my work as a GP, I am involved in primary care leadership across the Black Country, working with colleagues and partner organisations to improve services and develop better ways of meeting the needs of local communities. I hope to bring both my local knowledge and my wider health and care experience to the Board, while ensuring that the priorities and views of Friar Park residents remain at the heart of the programme.
