On 20 March 2026, the Government announced that Tividale in Rowley Regis has been selected to receive up to £20 million of investment through the Pride in Place Programme.
This long-term funding is a major opportunity to deliver positive change in Tividale. It puts power into the hands of the community and is designed to ensure that the people who live and work in Tividale help set priorities and shape the future of the town.
The programme will deliver against three core Government priorities:
- Thriving Places
- Stronger Neighbourhoods
- Taking Back Control
How we're making it happen
Our Board, working closely with Sandwell Council as the Accountable Body, will ensure local voices are at the heart of every decision. We are committed to ensuring that this investment delivers on the things that matter most to our community.
Together, we will create a 10-year Regeneration Plan and an initial 4-year investment plan. These plans will focus on the themes set by Govenrment, which reflect the things many of us already care about:
- Regeneration, High Streets and Heritage
- Housing
- Works, Productivity and Skills
- Cohesion
- Health and Wellbeing
- Transport
- Safety and Security
- Education and Opportunity
- Community Power
These plans will outline key activities and projects to meet the Government’s three core priorities: Thriving Places, Stronger Communities and Taking Back Control. Our plans are due to be submitted in Winter 2025 and we will need your continued input to shape them.
What's next?
Staying connected with our community is a top priority. We want to make sure that everyone in Tividale, from residents and community groups to local organisations and businesses, has the opportunity to get involved and share their ideas.
Over the coming months, our Board will:
- Engage with local people to understand what matters most to them.
- Develop a long-term vision and regeneration plan informed by community feedback and local data.
- Help shape investment priorities that reflect the needs and aspirations of local people.
The programme is currently in its planning and engagement phase. No projects have yet been selected for funding, and we are committed to working openly and collaboratively with the community to identify opportunities that will make the greatest difference to Tividale.
