Organisations in Smethwick will soon be invited to attend workshops and drop-in sessions to learn more about the next phase of the Smethwick Plan for Neighbourhood programme.
The programme has been shaped by local voices from the very beginning. During summer 2025, a range of engagement activities took place across Smethwick, giving residents, businesses and community groups the opportunity to share their ideas and priorities for the area. The feedback gathered helped shape Smethwick’s 10-year Regeneration Plan, which was submitted to Government in November 2025.
While we await a response from the Government, we’re planning two workshops and informal drop-in sessions. These events will give local organisations the chance to:
- Find out more about the 10-year Regeneration Plan
- See how community feedback has influenced the Plan
- Learn about funding opportunities being developed by the board, including a forthcoming application process for community projects of up to £25,000
We are currently in the early stages of organising these events, so dates and venues have not yet been confirmed. Details will be shared soon on our website, and members of our mailing list will also be contacted directly with updates.
