Lightwoods Park and Victoria Park Bench Scheme
Following feedback from local residents during community engagement events in 2025, the Board has funded the installation of new benches in Lightwoods Park and Victoria Park.
This project will provide three new benches in Lightwoods Park and three new benches and three picnic tables in Victoria Park. These improvements will create more opportunities for people to sit, relax, meet friends and family, and enjoy their local parks. The total project cost includes the purchase, delivery and installation of the new benches and picnic tables at both parks.
Who is delivering this project?
Sandwell Council is leading the delivery of this project on behalf of the Board, overseeing the installation of the new benches and picnic tables in both parks.
Why is this project being delivered?
Residents told us they would like to see more seating in Lightwoods Park and Victoria Park during community engagement events held in 2025.
In response to this feedback, the Board commissioned this project directly to help improve local green spaces and make them more welcoming and accessible for everyone.
