Supporting our children with their transition to 'Big School'
We are delighted to be working with the University of Manchester to understand the experiences of our children in Sandwell as they move from Primary to Secondary school. A time of excitement and some anxiety, a successful transition to secondary school plays a vital role in the well-being and academic progress of a young person. Children in Primary and Secondary schools across Sandwell are taking part in surveys and PHSE lessons so that the University can design a school friendly assessment tool, to enable schools across the UK to successfully support children throughout the transition.
