Fly-tipping wall of shame
We're cracking down on fly-tipping in Sandwell.
Every year we receive hundreds of reports of dumped rubbish. This not only makes the area look unsightly, but it also costs you, the council taxpayer, money to clean up.
We're using this wall of shame to share details of fly-tipping incidents and asking for your help to find the culprits. If we catch those responsible, they will receive a fine or may face prosecution.
We'll also share details of the fines and court action we have taken on recent cases of fly-tipping on this page.
Be warned - if you dump rubbish, you may be fined and your offences could end up on our wall of shame which we'll be sharing on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram where we have thousands of followers. Your dumped rubbish might also be featured in the local newspaper and on news websites.
Think before you fly-tip. Do the right thing - if you need to get rid of something, book a bulky waste collection or book an appointment at the tip.
Fixed penalty notices issued
We've been working hard to keep Sandwell clean and tidy. Here are some of our recent successes in catching fly-tippers, litterers and people who have breached their duty of care by using unlicensed waste carriers:
Tame Road, Tipton - a £400 fixed penalty has been issued to a householder who paid someone £20 to take away wood and other rubbish that was fly-tipped near the River Tame.

Beechcroft Road, Cradley Heath - a £400 fixed penalty has been issued to a householder who said they paid a friend £50 to take away rubbish that was later dumped in a car park.
More action taken on fly-tippers
- Shenstone Road, Smethwick - a £400 fixed penalty has been issued to a Birmingham resident who paid an unlicensed waste carrier to take away their rubbish. Some of that rubbish ended up being dumped among this pile in Smethwick, they were traced from paperwork in the black bags.
- Izons Road, West Bromwich - £400 fixed penalty issued to a woman who admitted dumping two rubbish bags at a bus stop after evidence was found inside them linking the rubbish to her address.
- Mason Street, West Bromwich - £400 fixed penalty issued to a man who admitted dumping this rubbish in the street after a letter was found in the chest of drawers with his address.
