Who is the service for?Anyone in the Third Age (after full-time employment and parental responsibility) can join U3A and this includes people who are working part time. No qualifications are required, and none are given. There is no lower age limit for membership.

Summary of servicesSandwell University of the Third Age (SU3A) is part of a national organisation, with thousands of members throughout the UK, but SU3A is an independent local group reflecting the aspirations of older people in Sandwell. No qualifications are needed, members are all people no longer in full time employment. This is an enjoyable way to meet new people whilst learning new things without pressure.
Apart from a number of special interest groups there is a general meeting on the second Monday of each month West Bromwich Community Centre, West Bromwich. There is always an enjoyable social atmosphere with a guest speaker on a wide range of topics, and new members, from the whole of Sandwell, would be most welcome. There are regular visits to theatres and places of interest.
