Summary of services | Ideal for All's Growing Opportunities Service offers a chance for disabled and disadvantaged people of all ages to get involved in gardening, gentle exercise, and healthy living. From two beautiful, fully accessible gardens, (Salop Drive and Malthouse Gardens) they welcome local people, disabled people, schools community groups to come and take part in a wide range of activities: Learn about growing plants and vegetables with hands on experience. Improve your health and well-being, reduce stress, get fitter with therapeutic gardening sessions, including sessions for older people, and those with long term conditions. You can self refer or be referred by your GP, or other health professional. Cooking courses and social activities, monthly garden club. Gardening from Home - 6 weeks of gardening with you in your own home if you are at risk of a fall or have a long term condition (by referral by a health professional ). Short courses and workshops. Vocational training in horticulture for 14-16 year olds. Tailor made sessions for primary, secondary schools and Surestart groups. After school gardening clubs. Outreach, advice and support service for community groups and those wishing to set up their own gardens. |
